Zonal Informatics Olympiad (ZIO) and Zonal Computing Olympiad (ZCO), 2016 This year, both the Zonal Informatics Olympiad and the Zonal Computing Olympiad will be held in parallel, on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Registration will be online and will remain open from October 1 to October 31. Students can register individually, independent of their schools. Schools will also be able to register students in bulk. The registration fee is Rs 250, inclusive of service tax and bank charges.
The format of ZIO and ZCO will be the same as in previous years. However, please note the following changes. ZIO and ZCO will be held in parallel, at the same centres, so students can write only one of the two exams to qualify for INOI. The choice is to be made at the time of registration. ZIO will be administered as a computerized test, in cooperation with TCS iON. Instead of writing your answers on a printed answer sheet, you will enter the solutions at a computer
. However, the nature of the question paper will be the same as in previous years. Previous question papers and solutions are available online: ZIO-2003, ZIO-2004, ZIO-2005, ZIO-2006, ZIO-2007, ZIO-2008, ZIO-2009, ZIO-2010, ZIO-2011, ZIO-2012. ZIO-2013. ZIO-2014, ZIO-2015. For ZCO, the only programming languages permitted are C and C++. Java and Pascal will not be supported. The local computer will have Dev-Cpp installed for writing code. Code will be submitted for evaluation to a local server, with feedback on correct/wrong answers. The exam format will be similar to previous years. International Olympiad in Informatics, 2015 IOI-2015 was held at Almaty, Kazakhstan during July 26–August 2, 2015.
Malvika Raj Joshi won a silver medal while Kushagra Juneja, Tanay Kothari and Arjun Pitchanathan won bronze medals. Malvika was unlucky to miss a gold medal by just one rank.

IOITC-2015 was held over 9 days held in Bangalore during the period 1 May–9 May, 2015. Of the 183 students who participated in INOI-2015, 30 students have qualified for the training camp to select the Indian team for the International Olympiad in Informatics, 2015 (IOI-2015). Zonal Computing Olympiad 2015 The Zonal Computing Olympiad, 2015 (ZCO-2015) was held on Saturday, 6 December, 2014. About 280 students wrote ZCO-2015. 67 students have qualified for the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics, 2015 (INOI-2015). Question paper Zonal Informatics Olympiad 2015 The Zonal Informatics Olympiad, 2015 (ZIO-2015) was held at 24 cities across India on Saturday, 29 November, 2014. About 900 students wrote ZIO-2015. 171 students have qualified for the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics, 2015 (INOI-2015).
